Single vehicle vs series production.
Thanks to its extensive range of modular building blocks, the X-Low chassis offers extensive customization options. This keeps the chassis cost-effective and quick to deliver, even when producing just one or a few vehicles. If required, additional customization can be applied to fully tailor the vehicle to its specific application.
The X-Low chassis also offers plenty of possibilities for larger series. Prototypes can be developed quickly based on the modular base chassis, with the complete engineering process carried out in 3D CAD. This enables an efficient development process and optimal collaboration.
In addition, we handle the production of small series. As part of this process, we assess the chassis design and any custom components for production efficiency, ensuring that the design not only meets all technical requirements but is also optimized for efficient manufacturing.
Scaling up production efficient.
When the volume upscaling phase starts, we can proceed in various ways:
- Continue to supply the converted chassis cab, with further optimizations for series production.
- Train the coach builder’s work force to convert the X-Low chassis in house for efficient production
- Outsource assembly and or conversion to a local third party to optimize for labour and transport costs.
- Convert the design to be fully welded on welding robots and have final assembly done in consent.

You can choose from two floor heights and configurations: a lowered central aisle starting at 250 mm, or a flat load floor starting at 400 mm.
The lowered central aisle has a chassis height of just 250 mm, making entry and exit quick and easy. This increases efficiency and productivity during daily use. The low centre of gravity also contributes to a comfortable and stable driving experience.
Smart air suspension for optimal comfort and ease of use.
The chassis is equipped as standard with Coxx air-suspended axles. These feature articulated parabolic springs and high-quality air bellows, which together provide a comfortable and stable driving experience. The modular axle construction is fully galvanized, providing a durable foundation for intensive daily use.
The air suspension is easy to operate via a clear and intuitive control panel. With this system, the chassis can be lowered to a very low height within seconds. This makes loading and unloading easier, while the air suspension provides additional driving comfort on the road.
Extended service life thanks to the universal coupling system.
The X-Low chassis is attached to the cab using a patented universal coupling system. This system also allows the chassis to be connected to a new or different cab at a later stage. This means the chassis can be reused when the original cab reaches the end of its service life or is damaged.
The coupling system is compatible with cabs from Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Opel, Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE. A cab replacement can also be completed within just a few days. This makes the system highly flexible and extends the service life of the chassis.
Strong and lightweight for maximum payload.
The chassis beams are made from high-grade Domex S700 steel. The construction is fully riveted, which helps minimize unwanted stresses in the chassis. The result is a strong yet lightweight construction designed for intensive daily use.
Thanks to the chassis’s low kerb weight, more payload capacity remains within the permitted weight class. This allows you to carry more cargo without compromising the strength of the chassis.

We build vehicles and modular low floor chassis up to 7.490 kg GVW. With a European regular B driving license you can drive till 3.500 kg, exemptions excluded. Over 3.500 kg GVW you will need a C or C1 driving license.
The L City electric urban truck is available in resp. 2.800 kg and 3.500 kg GVW version. Both can be driven with the regular B driving license.
Yes. You can select the L City as a chassis cab, with a flat surface or beavertail to build your own coachwork onto. We can also advise you in a coach builder to have your custom bodywork made and installed for you.
Yes. The Coxx X-Low chassis provides a solid and flat surface to build any type of body work on to easily. The modular chassis design will customize the camper to your needs and wishes. Space for water tanks, a heater or battery systems can be integrated into the chassis under your floor.
We can open up the cab rear wall to connect the cab to your living space. A one-touch hydraulic levelling system can be supplied and enrich your camping experiences.
