It all started with effortless, safe transport.
For GT Begraafplaats Techniek in Dorst, we developed a fully custom-built service vehicle for the safe transport of their mini excavators and equipment.
A comprehensive set of requirements, clearly defined by the client, formed the foundation. These were engineered and realized based on the modular X-Low chassis, bringing together smart technology and optimal driving comfort.
The project.
GT Begraafplaats Techniek operates two types of remote-controlled mini excavators that must fit precisely onto the vehicle. This requires exact measurements, a custom chassis modification, and intelligently designed mounting points. The vehicle must remain both stable and safe during transport. At the same time, easy loading and unloading is essential, without compromising driving comfort or maneuverability on narrow cemetery grounds.

Low-weight transport solution
Payload capacity is key to transporting the mini excavators within a category B driving licence. The lightweight chassis combined with an aluminium body provided the solution.
Driving comfort
The center of gravity is positioned above the rear axle, with air suspension and custom mounting/support points for the mini excavators.

- Fixed loading ramp that opens quickly in a single motion and closes safely

Our approach.
Chassis modification: Coxx developed a sloped, extra-low version of the X-Low chassis, reducing the standard floor height of 410 mm to 250 mm at the rear.
Custom bodywork: Jack Oosterwijk Trailers in Sleeuwijk built the body entirely according to the client’s requirements.
Flexibility: The air suspension on the rear axle provides sufficient ground clearance during driving and optimal stability during loading and unloading.

A Coxx X-Low chassis is designed to fit your vehicle’s application optimally. You will work more effectively, gaining a larger return per vehicle than a one-size-fits-all solution.
The low entry from 250 mm, GVW weight increase up to 7.490 kg, flexible dimensions and wheelbase generate endless possibilities. A manual ramp can be easily deployed to roll anything in and out of your truck.
The use of a S700MC high grade steel in smartly formed building blocks provide a strong and lightweight base. The modular design shortens building time, supports and reinforces the body where needed and provides space to save weight or store accessories.
The structure provides many locations to add components such as levelling system, water tank, extra batteries or even a H2 hydrogen conversion set.
We build vehicles and modular low floor chassis up to 7.490 kg GVW. With a European regular B driving license you can drive till 3.500 kg, exemptions excluded. Over 3.500 kg GVW you will need a C or C1 driving license.
The L City electric urban truck is available in resp. 2.800 kg and 3.500 kg GVW version. Both can be driven with the regular B driving license.
Yes. You can select the L City as a chassis cab, with a flat surface or beavertail to build your own coachwork onto. We can also advise you in a coach builder to have your custom bodywork made and installed for you.
Yes. The Coxx X-Low chassis provides a solid and flat surface to build any type of body work on to easily. The modular chassis design will customize the camper to your needs and wishes. Space for water tanks, a heater or battery systems can be integrated into the chassis under your floor.
We can open up the cab rear wall to connect the cab to your living space. A one-touch hydraulic levelling system can be supplied and enrich your camping experiences.
